FoxyLearning was founded by Dr. Eric J. Fox, who has an unhealthy affinity for both his last name and Batman. "BatmanLearning" didn't sound quite right and seemed likely to attract unwanted legal attention from DC Comics.
"FoxyLearning" did sound right, though, as we think "foxy" is a pretty good way to describe the type of learning experiences we try to create.
